Today the
Hernando Oaks Golf and Country Club comprises more than forty percent
of the community's total acreage - with exhilarating challenges at every
turn.
The routing takes full advantage of the natural challenges presented
by the native landscape. The first hole starts to the south. The par 3s
and par 5s are routed in opposing directions to take into consideration
prevailing southwest winds. The lengths of the par 3s, par 4s and par 5s
are all varying to provide an exciting experience on each hole. Five
sets of tees per hole provide pleasurable play for golfers of every
experience and skill level from duffer to pro.
The corridors are extraordinarily wide - averaging 300 feet - so
golfers never feel they are playing through a corridor of homes. There's
plenty of room on every side as you challenge this most remarkable golf
course.
